Sport therapy support utilises sports and exercise principles and advanced therapy techniques, to optimally develop physical qualities in children with cerebral palsy, with the aim of progressing the child’s overall physical capacity.   
 
Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the musculoskeletal rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional activity, home life and sports, or general  fitness, regardless of age, ability or condition.
Sport therapy utilises the principles of sport and exercise science incorporating physiological and pathological processes to prepare a child for functional movements, developing independence and the ability to carry out every day activities at home or in School. Advanced sport therapy techniques may include spinal mobilisations and specific therapeutic modalities such as interferential electrotherapy to break muscle spasms, relieve pain and increase muscle and joint function.
